Paul Simmons

The 7th Dan Black Belt, Director of the English Karate National Governing Body, and founder of the Frontier Karate Association, Paul has over 40 years of martial arts training. Paul has been a County Judo Silver medalist, and Mick Leigh is a 9th Dan Summer Course Winner.
Paul has been a former WKF English, British, and UK Grandslam Champion in U21 and Senior Categories, representing England 27 times.
Paul has been a National Association Coach for KMAC, Kaizen Karate Association, and Frontier Karate Association since 2001, working with talented coaches at the Association level. Paul has also served as a Regional and Head Regional Coach for 7.5 years, winning 5 consecutive National Inter-Regional Championships/Cups and reaching the semi-finals at the WKF European Regional Team Championships.
Academic research papers presented at the British Association of Sport and Exercise (BASES) National Conference and 5th International Conference on Sport, Leisure and Ergonomics at Johns Moore University. Papers on WKF Kumite and Full Contact Karate research. Former Columnist for publications Traditional Karate and Fighters Magazine in the 2000s.
Paul has also served as a former Performance Director for the English Karate
Federation and as a Board Member for the Frontier School of Karate and
Kickboxing.
